American Councils Serbia opened in Belgrade in 2002 with the launch of a fellowship for newly-minted university instructors. In the ensuing years, AC Serbia has administered and supported international scholarships for hundreds of educators and other professionals, as well as college and high school students. AC Serbia also serves as a regional hub for American Councils in Southeast Europe, with oversight on the region’s activity and internal support functions.
